Diamond Rugs

I had the pleasure of being behind the scenes for the first-ever Diamond Rugs show last week. The band is a super group featuring members of Deer Tick, Black Lips, Los Lobos, Dead Confederate and Six Finger Satellite. Their first album will be released in April and I’m fully convinced it will be one of the top rated albums of the year. In the Studio with Reptar

I spent an afternoon with Reptar last week. They are currently mixing their debut album with producer Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley) and I got to sit in during the process. Though I was hoping for photos of them tracking, I worked with what I had and asked for a quick setup shoot once they were done. See the whole essay here.
